Three kinds of stay, one standard of care

Everything below is care Stoneacre Lodge provides today. A full care plan is written with you in the first few days and weeks, so routines, tastes and preferences carry over from home.

Residential care

Long-term care with permanent assistance given throughout the day and night.

The main service provided by Stoneacre Lodge is long term care with permanent assistance given throughout the day and night. Besides a call point in each bedroom, there are call points positioned in communal toilets and lounges, meaning that at any time, help is very close at hand. A full care plan is developed with family members during the first few days and weeks, to ensure that preferential routines and tastes are catered to, providing continuity and security.

Dementia care

Stoneacre Lodge is a residential care home specialising in supporting individuals living with dementia. We provide high-quality, person-centred care in a safe, comfortable and homely environment. We take the time to get to know every individual, understanding their needs, preferences and life experiences, so that care is tailored to them. Our staff look to rehabilitate a resident's health wherever possible by encouraging independent movement and nurturing nutritional appetite.

Respite care

A dedicated respite bedroom, so dates can be booked well in advance.

Provision has been made for respite care in the form of a dedicated respite bedroom, so that you can book dates well in advance. Respite stays give family carers a planned break with the reassurance that the same care plan, routines and staff team are in place throughout.

Life at the Lodge

Days with something in them

We believe that keeping the mind and body stimulated and active significantly improves overall wellbeing. Stoneacre Lodge encourages a sense of community and social inclusion, with birthdays, parties, celebrations and events constantly occurring. Visits from the local pastor, choir sessions by children from our local school, mobile libraries and organised mobility classes (including chair Zumba) all add to daily life at Stoneacre Lodge. The Home employs a dedicated activities co-ordinator.

Families are an important part of life at Stoneacre Lodge, and we encourage regular visits and involvement, helping to maintain strong relationships and a sense of belonging. We work closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for every resident.

The Home has well tended gardens and suitable garden furniture for residents and their visitors to enjoy the pleasant surroundings. Our home is surrounded by well-maintained gardens, including accessible outdoor spaces and raised flower beds, allowing residents to enjoy fresh air and take part in gardening activities.
