Stoneacre LodgeResidential Care Home

About us

A small home, run by people who stay

Stoneacre Lodge is an independent residential care home in the village of Dunsville, on the edge of Doncaster. It is operated by Seth Homes Limited and registered with the Care Quality Commission.

Stoneacre Lodge Residential Care Home provides residential, dementia and respite care. The home was purpose-built in 1987 and is situated in the South Yorkshire town of Dunsville in Doncaster, within easy reach of shops, other amenities and public transport. One of the main reasons behind the historical success of the Home is the dedication and commitment shown by the staff to create a very homely and warm atmosphere. The Home is run by an excellent and reputable manager who has been with the Home for over 25 years. A good proportion of the staff have also spent a significant number of years at the Home and have good experience of settling residents in and making them feel at ease.

Each of the bedrooms are individually characterised and are colourful. Residents are encouraged to bring their own memorabilia and cherished belongings with which to decorate the room. All bedrooms have washbasins and commodes if required and each bedroom is equipped with a nurse call alarm system.

The cooks at Stoneacre Lodge provide nutritional, tasty and varied meals and desserts; all dietary needs are catered for and assistance is at hand if required. A resident can either eat in the comfort of the dining room or in the privacy of their own room.

What we believe

Choosing a care home for yourself or a loved one is a significant and often emotional decision. At Stoneacre Lodge, we understand the importance of finding a place where you feel safe, comfortable and truly at home. Our aim is to provide a warm, welcoming environment where each resident is treated with dignity, respect and compassion. We believe that moving into a care home should not mean losing independence or identity. Instead, we support our residents to continue living fulfilling and meaningful lives, with the reassurance that support is always available.

What a family told us

My mum lived here for nine years and received excellent care. The staff love and care of the residents beyond just a job. We cannot thank them enough.

Come and see the place

The best way to judge a care home is to walk into it unannounced at eleven o'clock on a Tuesday. You are welcome to do exactly that — or call and we will find a time that suits.
